RECOVERY PROGRAMS
Alta Mira’s offers a broad spectrum of recovery programs that include integrated holistic services with structured clinical programs that are personalized to each of our resident’s needs. Whether you are dealing with chemical dependency, an eating disorder, or trauma, our unique programs and highly experienced clinical staff meet each resident where they are physically, intellectually, emotionally & spiritually, and then walk them through each stage of the recovery process.
The Alta Mira healing process begins with a physical and nutritional evaluation. psychological testing, and a psycho-social evaluation. With the permission of residents, we include the family and other members of the client’s support group, such as friends, therapists and other healthcare providers, in our comprehensive orientation process. We believe that exposure to both individual and group therapy increase the odds of long term recovery for residents. As such, our programs include a minimum of three individual therapy sessions every week and daily process groups.
Our programs include a heavy educational component. The foundation for our treatment methodology is a number of specific clinical exercises that are detailed in our Client Workbook, The Alta Mira Way©. We have a comprehensive and layered family program that we believe is unique and unrivaled in the treatment industry, including a two day therapeutic home visit that each resident completes prior to discharge. This experience enables residents and their families to practice the tools they’ve learned throughout treatment and then process the experience at Alta Mira with the support of our therapists and fellow residents prior to discharge.
Each resident at Alta Mira will leave with a comprehensive discharge and relapse prevention plan and we offer lifetime aftercare services. Included in the price of our programs are two day revisits, or treatment “tune-ups,” for three years following the successful conclusion of treatment. Additionally, we offer a number of post treatment recovery services either directly through our own staff or through approved clinical providers.
