Monika Lopez, LVN
Monika Lopez is the Nurse Manager and Infection Control Officer at Alta Mira Recovery Programs. As Nurse Manager, Monika manages the nursing staff who are responsible for assessing client’s medical needs, monitoring client’s medications, and assisting the Psychiatrist/Physician/Nurse Practitioner as needed. As the Infection Control Officer, Monika is responsible for creating and implementing an effective infection control plan. Monika manages the exposure issues and risk management within the facility.
Monika comes from a background in Community Mental Health in San Francisco, home health nursing, and rehabilitation. She joined Alta Mira Recovery Programs in May of 2017. Since then, she has become a member of the Treatment Team providing input into the development of the treatment plan for each client and oversees client care in coordination with the attending Psychiatrist/Physician.
Monika attended Chabot Community College and California State University East Bay where she studied Health Sciences and Psychology. Since then, she has become a nurse and received a certificate in ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine).
