Faith Krueger, LAADC, APCC, NCC
Primary Therapist
Faith Krueger is an experienced Primary Therapist at Alta Mira Recovery Programs. She obtained her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, B.S. in Behavioral Sciences from Bellevue University, and is currently completing a PhD internship in Counselor Education and Supervision from Walden University.
Throughout her career, Faith spent eight years as a Substance Abuse Counselor and Chemical Dependency Treatment Specialist, focusing on substance use disorders and co-occurring issues in court-mandated adolescent and adult male treatment. She later worked with individuals, couples, and families as the Lead Therapist for a residential treatment program and clinically over a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for eating disorders. In addition to being a counselor, Faith works as an adjunct instructor teaching psychology and counselor education courses.
Faith takes a person-centered and strengths-based approach to clinical supervision and treatment, allowing her clients to feel supported in a nonjudgmental, structured, and compassionate way while encouraging self-advocacy and personal accountability. Her goal is for individuals to feel confident in the skills they learned while gaining insight into how this learning experience will improve not only their own lives, but those of everyone around them.
This approach is founded in the Eclectic Therapy model, a versatile method that draws from multiple therapy types in order to best address a client’s specific needs and tailor a treatment plan that meets their goals. By understanding all facets of a client’s unique challenges, Faith guides them through ways to overcome stressors, face everyday or familial difficulties, and navigate mental health issues—pivoting as necessary throughout the course of treatment.
Faith’s professional credentials include Licensed Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (CA), Nationally Certified Counselor, and Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, as well as specialty training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Professional affiliations include the Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP), the American Counseling Association (ACA), and the National Society of Leadership (NSLS).
